Reception and consultative department
Functions:
- Rendering consultative and diagnostic assistance to patients of the age of 14 and above and who have complicated diseases not easily diagnosed or treatable, and which demand the examination of highly qualified experts in the cities of Almaty and Astana.
- Hospitalization of patients is in accordance with the 020/U form which relates to the “referral of patients for treatment in clinics” for highly specialized medical assistance on the part of regional administrations of the public health service, city departments under the public health service in the cities of Almaty and Astana.
- Prospective observation of separate categories of patients whose diseases coincide with the scientific research areas of the institute as detailed examinations and constant dynamic supervisions of the course of diseases and of the effectiveness of their treatments are carried out.
The working schedule of the reception
and consultative department of the NSRICID are as follows:
Daily from 8:00 till 16:40 with a lunch break from 13:00 till 14:00
with Saturdays and Sundays being days off.
The order of referrals:
Patients are referred for hospitalization in republican clinics in line with established quotas in accordance with the Kazakhstani Ministry of Health Order №s. 941, 967 and 968 of 2002 by chief specialists in regional as well as the Astana and Almaty municipal public health service administrations. A referral card should indicate what specialist the patient is being directed to, as well as the patient’s diagnosis, the objective of the consultation (confirmation of the diagnosis, the required further medical examination, the choice of treatment, etc.), the area sphere of Medicine, the names of the chief specialists, as well as the stamp of the public health service organization concerned. The hospitals’ discharging documents must bear the out- and in-patient stages of treatment and rehabilitation measures, as well as the full scope of laboratory and instrumental research that were carried out by the region in question. It must also have the patients’ electrocardiographs, radiograms and the results of echo-cardiologic and other examinations.
